The Cottle family has been doing business
in Sacramento sense 1946 as “Cottle’s Grocery Store” (on Dos Rios St.) and “Western Upholstery” on 8232 Fair Oaks Blvd. Gene and Marion turned the Fair Oaks Blvd store into “Cottles Bros.Salvage”. John Cottle had the “John C. Cottle Railroad Salvage” on 16th St., which he moved over from Deeble St. next to Hughe’s Stadium in the south area. Gene Cottle, in 1975, turned the old salvage business into a Glass & Screen Shop and we branched out to 421 Arden Way Sacramento. The Fair Oaks Store ended in 1989 when Gene retired. Rich Cottle had the 421 Arden Way Store for 25 years until 2010 where he moved to 3487 Orange Grove Ave. Unit A where it is today. We hope to see you there to continue the tradition!
